Alexis Bittar's O'Keeffe Collection Is Art For Your Arm

I've been a fan of Alexis Bittar for years now, because Lucite is way more within my financial wheelhouse than diamonds are. Also, what up to his Georgia O’Keeffe-inspired collection, which mixes Southwestern motifs like skulls and Najavo prints with Deco metals and crystals. If you can't handle the vagtasticness of the silver antique bracelet then I guess you're just not woman enough.

Community Collection Is Awesome And Will Eat Up All Of Your Money. Proceed With Caution

Oh dear. You need to know about Community Collection. And you're gonna HATE me, but really, you're gonna love me. I just found out about Community Collection, which is an online boutique that sells limited-edition selections of, oh, I don't know, PRETTY MUCH ALL OF MY FAVORITE BRANDS like Alexis Bittar, Tucker, Matthew Williamson, LNA, Adam, Diane Von Furstenberg, Rachel Roy, Steven Alan, Mackage, Current Elliott, Veda, Genetic Denim (LOVE Genetic Denim's skinny jeans), and Elizabeth and James AND 20% of each purchase goes directly to charity.

That (and an almost astonishing inability to control my impulses) is why I purchased these Current Elliott leopard-print Stiletto jeans (and would you just LOOK at them on Dina of Eye4Style), which I've have had on my hit list for a while. Knowing that $39.60 of my purchase went directly to Goods for Good (which helps people in impoverished parts of Africa gain access to educational resources and job skills) as well as the fact that my mental wheel of rationalization was spinning out of control was all I needed to shut it down on these jeans.

$198, Current Elliott, CommunityCollection.com

OH, and hi, I liked Community Collective on Facebook and got 30% off my purchase. See? Your money is gone.

PHOTOS: Alexis Bittar Resort 2012

My very favorite jewelry designer, Alexis Bittar, recently released his Resort 2012 collection, and the lookbook alone is art. I mean, THERE'S A WIDE-EYED CAT (an Abyssinian if I'm not mistaken, and believe me, I'm not usually mistaken when it comes to cats) LOOKIN' TO RUN UP ON SOME JAGGED LUCITE-AND-GOLD BRACELETS! This is solidly within my wheelhouse!

The whole thing is very surreal, very neon (I always gravitate toward his '80s references) meets gold meets LOL Cats meets Man Ray.

Lust List: Rachel Roy & Keds Hi-Tops, Tie-Dye For Non Hippies, And The Best Summer Bag EVAR!

Welcome to my weekly lust list -- my fantasy shopping list of things I'd happily purchase right this moment... if only you were paying.

($99, Rachel Roy)
It was love at first click for me and these Rachel Roy blue Adinah hi-tops, created with surfer Karina Petroni. Love the summery surf fabric and I love that they're slip-ons. Honestly, being vehemently anti flip-flops (they're terrible and cheap!!! Step your GAME up!), these are a perfect substitute.

($264, Collina Strada, DearFieldbinder)
I mean... a better summer bag has never existed. Leather, canvas, a happy little shadowy tic print, and plenty of compartments.

($19.99, Calypso For Target)
I've said it before, I'll say it again, and I'll keep repeating it if need be. Tie-dye can be HORRIBLE. TERRIBLE. Any Jerry Garcia-leaning swirls-and-fractals tee makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a brooch, straight-up Oedipus style. The ONLY way to do tie-dye acceptably is ONE color with few circles or stripes. For example: the tie-dye tops from the Calypso for Target collection. I'm pretty stoked for a super easy orange tie-dye tee (I think they come in a bright pink too). The collection hits Target stores May 1.

($90, Alexis Bittar)
That little pop of fuchsia in there? That's love.

($70, Keds)
Keds is rolling out their "How Do You" road trip series, which pairs (har) a pair of urban-inspired, limited-edition Keds with a city and a charity. My favorites of the collection are the hi-top foldover Champion LA Keds. They're lightweight, and, once again, perfect for flip-flop skeevers like myself.

DANGER! DANGER! Alexis Bittar Sale!

WARNING! Alexis Bittar's having a huge sale, and I've only got one word for you: oof.

I already picked up this adorable neon pink pyramid necklace for $47, but I will further forewarn you, they kinda kill you with shipping and tax. Oh wells.
($47.50, Alexis Bittar)

I avoided buying this gunmetal ring and the rest of the neon pink Lucite pieces. But just barely.

Joan Collins x Alexis Bittar

Because I live a VERY glamorous life -- trust me -- I was walking down the unBELIEVABLY chic streets of East Broadway at 8:50 or so in the morning one recent morning, en route to the FINEST post office in Lower Manhattan -- the Knickerbocker branch, where you're always greeted with a smile -- and on the makeshift walkway next to all of the not-at-all gritty ongoing construction, I passed a splintery wooden board with THIS snipe -- JOAN EFFING COLLINS for ALEXIS BITTAR. It was like the heavens had parted and a rainbow unfurled and splashed out across a fucking wooden board. My FAVORITE 1980s power dresser and power bitch for my favorite jewelry designer, Alexis Bittar. Lucite, shoulder pads, a frosted smoky eye, and unbridled backstabbing and rage = LOVE, no?

Find out more about this holy hybrid came to be on Alexis Bittar's blog.
